در این بخش از درس با مکان های تفریحی در شهر آشنا می شویم و می توانیم درمورد آنها صحبت کنیم. گرامر این بخش مربوط به there is و there are  میباشد.

3 گرامر  There is, there are 

برای بیان "وجود داشتن" از there is بمعنای "وجود دارد" برای مفرد و there are  بمعنای "وجود دارند" برای جمع استفاده میکنیم.

به مثال های زیر توجه کنید:

There is a mirror on the wall.

There`s a parrot in the cage.                                

There`s a library next to the butchery.            

There are some cinemas on Zand Street.           

یک آینه روی دیوار وجود دارد.

یک طوطی در قفس وجود دارد.

یک کتابخانه کنار قصابی وجود دارد.

چند سینما در خیابان زند وجود دارد.

برای سوالی کردن این جملات باید جای there و فعل tobe یعنی is و are را عوض کنیم:

There is a newsstand across from the park.

Is there a newsstand across from the park?

There are two gas stations on Palm Street.

Are there any gas stations on Palm Street?

نکته: در حالت سوالی جملاتی که there are دارند (حالت جمع) باید از any استفاده کرد و در جملاتی که there is دارند، (حالت مفرد) باید از a یا an استفاده کرد.

دقت کنید که از an باید قبل از اسامی ای که حرف اولشان صدادار است استفاده کرد (a,e,o,u,i).

A Complete the questions about the city with Is there a / an . . . ? or Are there any . . . ? Then compare with a partner.
