In the next session of our B1 conversation class, we're going to argue for/against the concept of Keeping Pets.
It is believed that due to some specific problems, namely loneliness, difficulty in raising a family, complexity of life, etc., people have grown a tendency to keep pets as constant companions.
However, you should always bear in mind that not all animals could make a good pet for you. In the upcoming conversation class, your attention is kindly called to the following question:
What factors should you take into account when you need to choose an animal as your pet?
Please respond to this question in this forum and prepare yourself for a detailed argument in the next class.
In the past, people had to
In the past, people had to require that food and clothing so began to domesticate animals and care of them.
the people in the town still care of poultry and sometimes use meat and eggs of them.
for example four years ago my brother and I bought some small chickens and The chicks grew up and were become a mature chickens.we use the eggs and finally we ate meat. (we are cruel! 
)
Nowadays people because of loneliness turned to animals.
But I see the best case for filling alone can be society in the community.

Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
As you said, we are facing a paradigm shift with regard to keeping animals.
I think, in the past, our ancestors didn't need to have pets as they were closer to each other and less lonely. However, these days, we don't domesticate animals for their services, for example plowing a field, riding, meat, milk, eggs and the like. Instead, we keep them as our companions because we fail to communicate with each other effectively, and that is a ‘paradigm shift’.

Why did the little girl like her chickens so much? Because they're very pretty and they lay eggs
What was so funny about the turtles? They push each other around
What was the hamster owner complaining about? That the hamster makes noise at nights
Why is it important to change a hamster’s bedding regularly? Because it's important for her to be nice and warm
