(The man walks in the door.)

 

Everybody: SURPRISE!!!

 

2. A man is at the theater. Two people are talking behind him.

 

PI: ... do you like her hair like that?

 

PI: If you ask me, it really doesn't suit her very much . . .

 

P1: I don't like it either. I think it looks terrible.

 

P2: I agree with you.

 

M: (Turning around) Excuse me, but I'm trying to watch the play. Would you please not talk?

 

P2: Oh, We're sorry. We didn't think we were bothering you . . .

 

3. A little boy is at the supermarket with his mother.

 

B: Mommy . . . Mommy . . . can I have some candy?

 

M: No. Candy's no good for you. You know that.

 

B: Mommy . . . c'mon. I'm hungry.

 

M: No. Be quiet, and stop pestering me.

 

B: How about this one here . . . this little one . . .

 

M: No. Put that back! And don't ask me again.

 

B: Mommy. I want some candy . . .

 

M: Tommy! Shut up. I said no, and that's final.
